The SOMATEX® Tumark Vision can pinpoint markings in the soft tissue through the placement of a spherical shaped marker before or during a neoadjuvant chemotherapy. Furthermore, the system is ideal for the marking of biopsy collection sites. The ergonomic handle of the clip-marking system enables single-handed operation to the user during the simultaneous guiding of the ultrasonic head during the intervention.  


Puncture cannula

The SOMATEX® Tumark Vision consists of a puncture cannula with an ergonomic handle and an easy-to-use slider for the placement of the marker. The puncture cannula distinguishes itself by its high stability and the sharp-faceted bevel and enables an atraumatic puncture in a gentle manner to the patient. Furthermore, its coating provides good gliding features. The echogenic marking at the top of the puncture cannula facilitates precise ultrasonic positioning and the depth markings on the cannula shaft provide optimum orientation during the procedure.


Clip marker

The spherical shaped clip marker consists of the biocompatible metallic implant material Nitinol. The mesh wire surface composing of many single nitinol wires.

The Tumark Vision is supplied sterile and preloaded, and is ready for immediate use.

Breast ultrasound is one of the most important imaging procedures in senology, especially for follow-up examinations of diagnosed breast cancer. Tumark Vision enables precise clip-marking of soft tissue. The spherical shape of the wire mesh, which consists of 48 single wires, lead to high echogenicity under ultrasound, even for different positions of the transducer.

With the Tumark Vision Atlas, it is possible to get insights into practical applications in clinical cases and to observe the visibility of the clip marker in multiple imaging modalities. For instance, one important point is the visibility of the marker after a longer period of time in the tissue, especially after neoadjuvant chemotherapy.
